ISSUE 01 · LIFE WITHOUT AUTOPILOT

We do not teach survival.
We write about living for real.

Love without ownership. Money without war. Ambition without losing yourself. For people who prefer an uncomfortable truth to a comfortable cliché.

THE BRAND CODE

KOOK.

A kook is the original who refuses the prefab life. For us, these four letters set the standard: begin with kindness, stay open, think originally, and earn every claim with knowledge.

A vow will not save your love. A daily choice has a better chance.

Why freedom can bind two people more deeply than control—and what remains of being in love after the scenery disappears.

Three subjects. No sugarcoating.

We do not publish material for mindless scrolling. Every piece should leave you with a question, an experiment, or a decision.

Life does not begin after everything

Change, expression, and rest for people who refuse to postpone themselves until a more convenient moment.

Content that does something.

We do not diagnose people from five sentences. We connect experience, research, and practice—and name the limitations plainly.

THE CREATORS · REAL PEOPLE, NOT AVATARS

We are Marlena and Kris. Thirty years on, we are still choosing each other.

For thirty years we have been a happy couple who are still genuinely in love. Not because life passed us by, but because we learned to move through it together — with curiosity, freedom, humour, and a willingness to repair.

One of us grew up in Central Europe, the other in the Americas. We have lived in different places and between cultures. That is why KOOKBOOK speaks Polish, English, and Spanish — for now.

Together we raised three children, all now adults. Our guides to life with teenagers were not written by observing families through glass. They also grew from real conversations, mistakes, boundaries, laughter, and second attempts in our own home.

We do not present our marriage as scientific proof or a template for yours. We bring current research into conversation with something equally important: an honest account of one real couple and one real family.

OUR MANIFESTO

We are not interested in a proper life. We are interested in a true one.

We will not sell quick recipes for another human being. We will ask, test, sometimes laugh, and always separate personal experience from scientific evidence.

  1. 01No pretending to be experts on somebody else’s life.
  2. 02No war between women and men.
  3. 03No promise that a single method will fix everything.
  4. 04Experiments you can try today—not ‘someday.’

A LETTER FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK

Once a week. One thing worth your attention.

A new essay, one unexpected question, and a small weekend experiment. No daily noise and no selling your address.
